My name is Graham; my family currently consists of:
1 cat 3 dogs (Siberian Husky, Rottweiler/Pit mix, and Jack Russell Terrier) 1 chinchilla 1 dwarf hamster 3 guinea pigs 3 mice 3 corn snakes 4 leopard geckos 2 Emperor scorpions 16 tarantulas (several species, most docile) I am considering starting with roaches as feeders for the lizards and arachnids (and the hamster and cat both love something "lively" as a treat once in a while). I'll lurk around here to get info on different species and how to raise them before I make the final decision, though. If anyone wants to send me suggestions, I would surely appreciate it! |

Hi Graham! Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have a nice assortment of pets. What kinds of tarantulas do you keep?

My computer broke, and it felt like I'd dropped off the face of the earth!
To answer BugChick, my tarantulas are as follows: 2 B. auratum adults 1 N. chromatus adult 1 L. parahybana sling 2 G. aureostriata slings 1 A. aviculara juvie- just molted into the pink toes! 5 B. albopilosum adult, juvie and slings 3 P. murinus slings and 1 Unknown adult "rescue" tarantula- was listed as an "Asian birdeater", but it looks somewhat similar to the Honduran curlyhairs, and loves to dig as much as they do. |
